Sin Creeps In, employing the same painterly and mixed media methods as America, is a dark reflection on bodily pleasure and sensual desire. Through the use of collage, hands and limbs are severed, bodies in the act of coitus are disjointed, and human figures are made absent, abstracted into phantoms. The word "paradise" plays faintly across the cover, backwards and nearly illegible. Thus the book can be seen as a lament for humanity's fall, an elegiac meditation on inevitable - and uniquely human - transgression.
