June 12 - 16, 2017
M-F 9:30am - 5:30pm

Professional Practice for the MFA prepares students with or obtaining a Master of Fine Arts degree for their professional lives beyond graduate school. Students will gain practical knowledge and experience to enter the professional environment of being an artist and arts professional. Through presentations, guest lectures, readings, and a variety of exercises, participants will engage in the process of learning and practicing professionalism, promotion, and contributing to the field on a professional level. The workshop will cover developing a CV, teaching packets for applying for university-level positions, writing artist statements, personal promotional materials, and other aspects of post-MFA life.
